Juanjo (58) is leading a group of Spanish archaeologists who travel to Jordan for the fifth consecutive year to unearth what could be the oldest city in history. It is a unique discovery that requires the fervent, intense and obsessive effort of archaeologists like him.

Abo Dya (38), vigorous, impulsive and full of contradictions, is one of 12 local workers who are hired every year for working there. For them, the archaeological site is the only, and very minimal, source of income.

However, due to the linguistic and cultural barrier, mutual prejudice and mistrust inevitably emerge, generating a tension that could explode at any moment. But they all know that they need each other to survive.
