Jorge Herralde: Anagram of an Editor is a biographical portrait of the editor Jorge Herralde, focusing on the fifty years that he has spent at the helm of the Anagrama publishing house. The documentary will be structured around four meetings between Herralde and some of his friends, authors and collaborators (for example, Juan Villoro and Milena Busquets). During these conversations, and always through the prism of the personal experiences of the editor, we look at issues such as the nature of publishing, major trends in Latin-American literature or the changing interests of Spanish readers during the last fifty years. The documentary will also include small fragments of some of the books published by Herralde and the extensive correspondence he maintained with the authors. These texts will be read by people from the world of culture who will explain the particular relationship that unites them. In this way, the documentary will propose a particular cultural chronicle of Spain in the last fifty years, inviting the viewer to read some of the books that have marked the recent history of our country. All of this content will be combined with the daily life of Jorge Herralde.
